Hi, my name is Maegan Trevino and I am all for fighting against abortion.
I love it, I love my daughter and my heart goes out to the women that have made these choices, it saddens me to hear of this happening. I also send my prayers to all those babies, at least you are in heaven now keeping Jesus company, you are loved by me and everybody fighting for you.
So I have decided to personally make it known what I believe. I will be baking cupcakes for October 9th, the day we celebrate all those birthdays. I will be in between building 7 and 11, at Tacoma Community College in Tacoma, WA making my voice in this matter known.
I would like some help though. My email address is megt3153@hotmail.com, if you would like to help me purchase supplies and tshirts, or just show up for the occasion that would be great. I could use the help. Afte you have emailed me, I will give you some more information.
I will also be doing Day of Silent Solidarity on October 21st at TCC in the same spot. Please let me know if you would like to be apart of that too. I could use some help there also. If you would like some information for this the website is http://www.silentday.org. They are a great website and they can give you more information on this day.
Thank you for helping this cause and I appreciate your help as well.
God Bless,
Maegan Trevino

While you all are fighting for fetuses that CANNOT think and feel, I will be fighting for the already born who are suffering in this world because YOU don’t seem to care about them.

I don’t understand this idea. Why are you wasting your time on unwanted foetuses that never knew or cared that they existed/were aborted? If someone who’s had an abortion wants to celebrate that foetuses’ birthday, fine, but this is pointless. I really don’t understand how you can care more about foetuses that didn’t know they existed than women who think and feel and weren’t ready to go through pregnancy. It makes no sense.

It may not make sense to you, but we care about the women as well. How would you feel if you knew deep down you decided to kill your own child? I would be so torn up inside. I would be dying inside. Stopping abortion stops that pain. fetuses can feel and God formed that little baby, do you want to kill that special baby that God formed? That could become a great leader in our country. By having an abortion, the woman silences all of the babies rights, all of its chances to be something, and all of its hope. I am not saying the woman has to keep the baby, ADOPTION! So many people want a little baby, but can’t physically have one, so why not give them your unwanted baby instead of KILLING IT.

Let’s all remember that every one of the 50 million legally aborted babies in America did miss his.her birthday. Everyone of them should have been allowed to have their birthday, just like the rest of us do, because our moms chose life. Have you thanked your mom for letting you have your birthday? Give her a cupcake on Oct 9 and thank her for not taking your birthday away. Pray for the end of legal abortion in America. The day may come soon. Stand for the babies whose tiny voices are not able to be heard. They need our help. We can help others see that abortion is always a wrong choice because every baby deserves to have his birthday. May God bless cupcakes for life day.

I just heard of Cupcakes for Life for the first time yesterday through the website Abort73.com. I think this is a great idea! My sister and I are planning on baking cupcakes to bring in to our workplace for our coworkers as well as bring some to our young adult Bible study group at church. We might sell the cupcakes at Bible study to raise a little money for Abort73 or a local pregnancy center. It’s a small thing, but we are excited to do it! Everyone deserves to have a birthday!

Obviously they weren’t given the chance to have their voice heard, So we must speak for them. “PLEASE LET ANOTHER CHILD HAVE THE OPPORUNTIY TO HAVE A LIFE AND BLOW OUT THIS BIRTHDAY CANDLE THAT I WAS STRIPPED OF THIS PRIVILAGE”. WHO ARE WE TO BE IN A PLACE TO MAKE THIS DECISION. WE ARE NOT GOD.

Hey, I have an even better idea to expand on this one. Why don’t we all bring in leftoever wedding cake one day and when people ask who got married, we can say “No one! This cake is for all the gay couples who were denied the right to marriage because of ingnorant people like you!” The cake in their mouth will become dry and hopefully the moment will become quite somber.
Good idea, right?

I think this is a complete waste of time. Do you think your time and money would be better served supporting poor pregnant women or donating to foster homes and orphanages? No one is going to take you seriously until you get serious about being “pro-life.”
October 9th, 2009 at 2:51 pm
What a ridiculous notion. 50,000,000 children didn’t get a birthday because of abortion? Every second that we’re not having unprotected sex with a fertile partner, that’s more potential children who aren’t going to get a birthday. Even when you get pregnant, there are millions of children you aren’t having because only one sperm reaches the egg, and the whole time you’re pregnant with one child, there are billions and billions of children you could be having but aren’t.
“Pro-Life”. What a joke. What a sick, sad little joke. The 50,000,000 children who aren’t born that you choose to focus on aren’t more special or more deserving of life than any one else who isn’t born. Life is precious. Life is a blessing. But by its very nature, no one suffers from not having it.
If you want to be Pro-Life, there are plenty of living people who need help. Stop wasting resources on people who don’t exist.

i think this practice is absolutely disgusting. how many of you are pro-war or eat meat? just letting you know MILLIONS of living creatures die every day. plus our world is grossly over populated to the extent that we cant even feed the children we have already brought into this world, Pro-life is a joke if you really care that much about saving lives go stand with your protest signs and cupcakes in the middle of a slaughter house or the “friendly fire” target practice our country performs in city’s with real people being killed because we need better aim, or think about this– an astounding number of young girls commit suicide every year because of views or pressures against abortion make them feel like theres no other options. thanks to you all.
October 9th, 2009 at 4:05 pm
also, if you think about it– when you take away abortion girls are just going to find cruder methods of getting rid of their UNWANTED child. id rather have been killed before i was ever born than be born into a family that didnt want me or a mother that couldn’t support me.

I guess you haven’t read the science that indicates that women who have abortions do not have fewer children in the long run.
Given that, it seems clear that what abortion lead to is not fewer children or fewer birthdays - but the same number of children and the same number of birthdays. Abortion has permitted young women and families to avoid the serious social, financial, lifestyle and educational consequences of their mistakes. It has protected these families from becoming part of one of the most dangerously at-risk categories in North America.
Had all those children been born, the overwhelming majority of them would have been born into single parent homes. These homes would be overwhelmingly of low income. Everyone in those homes would be at a significantly higher risk of being abused, under-nourished, under-educated, and at a much higher risk of being a criminal.
Please don’t let these well-established facts get in the way of your misguided and uninformed mission though. Keep baking - I love cupcakes.

If the fetus you save turns out to be gay, will you treat it as a non-human… will you fight for its rights THEN? 10 percent of Americans are homosexual… that’s a 1 in 10 chance that the fetus you save will turn out to be gay, lesbian, bisexual (like me) or transgender. Those statistics have been tested again over 50 years since the original Kinsey study, and still the number hovers around 10 percent.
(And where are you getting this ridiculous stat of 1 in 3 children are aborted? Show some proof for that one, please. I think that’s bunk.)
The numbers have stayed the same because we are born this way. Straight people keep producing gay kids… so if you want to save the babies, teach their mothers about contraception (abstinence/guilt/shame education obviously doesn’t work, the hormones do what they want!), give their mothers opportunities and education about their bodies. Improve the adoption/foster care systems… how many of these fetuses will wind up in a system that doesn’t care for them, in abusive foster situations, where they will often be physically, emotionally and sexually abused… where they have a great likelihood of winding up in juvey and becoming angry, hate-filled adults whom you will put in prison? I wonder how many of those unloved people would tell you, “I’d rather not have been born.” How many of your smiling, well-fed, privileged faces look at dejected adults like them on a daily basis, and recoil in horror? How many of them will you still support even if they don’t feel like becoming a paragon of religious cleanliness?
Using cupcakes to send a message like this to young people at such an early age is demented at best. Seriously.
I’d also like to say that I don’t like abortion. I think it can be a traumatic experience emotionally, even when done safely in a clinic to minimize physical injury. However, I know one thing: God didn’t put on this Earth to judge, or to exert our will over others in His name, because of our interpretations of His word. He gave us free will, because God is love. Whatever we wish to do with that free will is our choice. When you take away that free will, or try to influence someone strongly against their own choices by giving them false and misleading information, that’s not love for them, that’s manipulation.

If you care so much about babies being aborted, why don’t you conduct funerals for each one like we do when someone dies who was actually born and living for a certain amount of time?
If you care so much about “people” why aren’t you helping those who were born into bad situations like the lack of a caring parent(s), poverty, and/or abusive homes? Maybe you should spend your time and effort helping the living who really need it, rather than pushing your agenda and baking cupcakes. I think its a total cop-out and you really aren’t living like Jesus or god wants you to. But then again, that’s the usual hypocrisy coming from most Christians.
